About school magazines

A school magazine is there to inform parents on what the students have been doing, the events in the school and to present issues they want the readers to be aware of. Paper copies used to be given out in schools to the students but advances in technology have allowed them to be put on school websites or via parent mail to be read. They are aimed at students and parents but can be targeted to specific year groups if the contents only effects specific groups. Any schools including grammar schools can have school magazines as it is purely made to express the occurrences happening in the school.

Introduction to G321

My name is Kaylee Heckford and I have published this blog to show my progress in creating a school magazine. In order to make this magazine I will need to produce a front page of a new school/college magazine featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid out text and a masthead. Additionally I must produce a mock up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate my grasp of a double page spread. I will be adding videos, recordings, images and text to this blog to demonstrate my progress.
